Geurt van Rennes hield op 21 september 2017 een lezing te  Brussel in het Europees parlement tijdens de slotconferentie van het Genius Loci – project. Dit was de bijdrage van de ASG via de VVIA (Adriaan Linters) aan deze manifestatie. Een referaat in het Engels gebracht om “U” tegen te zeggen. The topic of the international conference is "The Industrial Heritage of SMEs: an asset for tourist and regional development”.
During the event the main activities and results of the project GENIUS LOCI will be presented. The project, co-funded under the COSME Programme of the European Union, has the main objective to promote tourism linked to European industrial heritage, with a specific focus on the industrial heritage of SMEs and traditional crafts.
The project aims to inspire draw greater attention to an important heritage which is often forgotten and underestimated in order to revalue and enhance its appreciation by tourists and the general public. (cfr.:http://www.europeangeniusloci.eu/nl/)
